Welcome to the spot on the web where I feature a little of my creative work, graphic animation, design, and resume -- a portfolio of sorts. I'm Damien Garcia, a recent re-transplant to the San Diego area, and I work in the Film Industry for Legend Films.
I am a native to San Diego, but have lived in New York City for nearly ten years.
I moved to New York City at the age of 19 after working at the San Diego and Chicago Democratic and Republican National Conventions for NBC News in 1996. I joined the NBC News team as a full-time employee and also attended New York University as a full-time undergraduate.
I graduated with honors from New York University (BA in Communication & Social Justice) in 2002.

I have since worked for Estee Lauder's MAC Cosmetics, Inc at their Soho corporate headquarters on Prince Street; I also worked for New York University's School of Law and IT Departments.
I recently completed a summer-long consultancy gig with NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College Columbia University Medical College as a web maintenance designer for some 100 websites.
I have also completed a year-long certificate program in interactive media (print, multimedia, and web design).

PRINT / ANIMATION / WEB
PRINT:
Each print project, whether developed with photoshop, illustrator or in-design, has been crafted with care and thoughtful hours of focus. I use the following applications to create high-quality print products:
- InDesign
- Illustrator
- Photoshop
- Acrobat
ANIMATION:
Each Animation project that I do involves hours upon hours of work.
Some projects can take as long as two weeks.
